What's New at Fire Rescue

Build Me a Library Campaign

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue will help raise funds for the  “Build Me a Library”. The project will increase access to books for children and families, will fund the development of 70 new reading nooks, and  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue will visit classrooms on an ongoing basis, teaching young learners about fire safety.

Congratulations to the most recent graduates from the Junior Cadet Program

The MDFR Junior Cadet Program offers high school students, both male and female, between the ages of 14 and 18 the opportunity to explore careers in the fire rescue service.

Chief Dave Downey honored as Florida Fire Chief of the Year

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's Chief was recognized for leadership, innovation, professional development, integrity, service to the public and contributions to the fire service.
