The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Training Facility is a multi-use, state-of-the-art complex built on 11 acres of land directly south of MDFR's headquarters building in Doral, Florida.
The facility was designed to provide superior fire rescue training programs and a wide range of training opportunities to benefit law enforcement, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), public and private organizations, and community and civic groups. We strive to deliver training programs and foster professional development among all personnel.
The mission of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Training and Safety Division is to provide comprehensive and effective training for fire rescue professionals based on national fire rescue service standards, information analysis, and emergency response demands. We believe in the achievement of “Excellence through Training and Safety” by employing dedication, teamwork, and the application of the best methodologies and techniques in fire rescue education.
The Training and Safety Division is responsible for the training and continued education of the department’s uniformed and non-uniformed personnel. It develops and provides department-wide training for new recruits, probationary, and permanent employees.
