Municipal Advisory Committees
Municipal Advisory Committees (MACs) are organizations composed of elected or appointed members whose purpose is to study and give advice to the County Commission regarding the creation of a proposed municipality. The Board of County Commissioners creates Municipal Advisory Committees.
MACs are charged with studying the feasibility of incorporating a specific area into a municipality. All meetings are free and open to the public. Residents are encouraged to attend the meetings to find out more information and/or express their opinions. Meetings are also posted on the County Calendar.
