Juvenile Alternative Services Sanctions (JASS)
Juvenile Alternative Services Sanctions (JASS) provides delinquency services to first time nonviolent misdemeanor offenders. JASS serves male and female youth who are 18 and younger. JASS provides an individualized client needs assessments which provides the basis for the development of client treatment plans and service contracts. Program services include: case management, victim/offender mediation, restitution coordination, community work service, and referrals to: psycho-educational groups, substance abuse counseling, and family and individual counseling. JASS client treatment plans are monitored by means of home, school, and field visits as well as collateral contacts. A youth will be in the JASS program for approximately 90-120 days.
The Miami-Dade County Juvenile Services Department’s JASS has three offices located in Miami Dade County (North, South, and Central) by having these offices throughout the community; staff is easily accessible to their clients and their families. Staff has access to county cars; staff is able to have access to a vehicle at all times during the work day to visit clients and families as needed. JSD also provides transit passes to those clients who have transportation issues and staff also have the ability to conduct intakes at the youth’s home as needed.Back to Top Page Last Edited: Tue May 14, 2013 11:51:35 AM
