Welcome to the Office of Management & Budget

The Office of Management and Budget brings together the County’s operating and capital budgeting, strategic planning and business planning, performance improvement, grants coordination, Community Redevelopment Agency and bond monitoring, and incorporations and annexation support functions of Miami-Dade County. Taken together, these functions help ensure the County allocates resources that reflects the community’s priorities.

2014 Mom and Pop Small Business Grants

This grant provides financial and technical assistance to qualified for-profit small businesses that are approved for funding. Mom and Pop Grants are administered in collaboration with each Miami-Dade County Commissioner's Office. Application procedures, mandatory workshops, and grant deadlines differ for each Miami-Dade Commission District. Some due dates are in January and some in February. For more information, please contact the Neighbors and Neighbors Association at 305-756-0605 or your respective Commissioner's office. Once available, applications can be downloaded from each Commissioner's web page or a hard copy can be obtained through each Commissioner's office or through the Neighbors and Neighbors Association office.

Miami-Dade County recognized for performance management successes

The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) is pleased to announce that Miami-Dade County, Fla., is being recognized for superior performance management efforts with a Certificate of Excellence from the ICMA Center for Performance Measurement™ (CPM). Miami-Dade County is among 28 jurisdictions receiving this highest level of recognition this year.
