Death Certificate Copies

The Medical Examiner Department does not issue copies of death certificates. Persons needing to obtain a copy of a death certificate need to contact the Miami-Dade County Health Department – Bureau of Vital Records

Fee Schedule

The schedule of fees for services provided by the Medical Examiner.

Indigent Cremation Service

The purpose of the Indigent Cremation Service (ICS) is to provide final disposition in accordance with the law for those persons who have no family or cannot afford private funeral arrangements.

International Forensic Photography

Methods of discovery and documentation relating to death investigation, crime scene, and general photography are covered in detail along with related biomedical and forensic photography techniques.

Pathology: Fellowship Program

The Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner Department offers a one-year, ACGME-accredited, Forensic Pathology Training Program in association with the adjacent University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Police MedicoLegal Investigation Of Death

This program is designed to teach new and experienced homicide investigators, criminal investigation managers, prosecutors, and medical examiners criteria about different types of sudden, unexpected, and violent deaths.
