Beach & Pool Access

Beach Wheelchairs

Accessible pathways from the beach road onto the beach are available at Haulover Beach for use by persons with disabilities. Pathways are spread throughout the beach at five different areas, including north, central and south beaches. Showers and concession stands are wheelchair accessible.

Swim Team

A certified Red Cross certified Water safety instructor teaches swim participants ages 21 and older with developmental disabilities to improve stroke techniques & prepares participants for Special Olympics competitions. Basic swimming skills are required. For more information, please call 305-665-5319.

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5 - 6 p.m.

Youth Swimming

Children ages 9-20 with physical disabilities have a great time during lap swimming for fun and exercise, located in A.D. Barnes Park. For more information call 305-226-1622.

Saturdays form 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., $40 for 10 classes

Fitness Swimming

Adults 18 and older with physical disabilities have a great time during lap swimming for fun and exercise, located in A.D. Barnes Park. For more information call 305-752-4966.

  • Wednesday & Fridays form 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., $40 for 10 classes or $150.00 for private classes.

Water Exercise

Water exercises for adults 18 and older that promote joint flexibility, muscle strength, coordination, and balance.

Locations:

The cost is $30.00 for 10 classes.
