Active Older Adults Program
The Miami-Dade County Parks Active Older Adults (AOA) Program is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults ages 55 and older by promoting healthy aging through recreation, wellness, social engagement, lifelong learning, and community involvement. The program provides inclusive, accessible, and meaningful opportunities that encourage participants to remain active, independent, and connected within their communities.
While each AOA site offers programs tailored to the unique interests and needs of its participants, all locations share the common goal of supporting the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of older adults. Through engaging activities that nurture the body, mind and spirit, participants are empowered to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
