Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise is a federal program that ensures equal opportunity in transportation contracting markets, addresses the effects of discrimination in transportation contracting, and promotes increased participation in federally funded contracts by small, socially and economically disadvantaged businesses, including minority and women owned enterprises.

Application Requirements

Applications for DBE certification can be downloaded at the U.S. Department of Transportation and can be submitted to the County for processing.

The Florida Department of Transportation DBE Supportive Services has a Field Specialist who can assist you regarding your Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) Application. Miami-Dade County is a Unified Certification Program member and processes applications for DBE certification. Submit your completed application to:
