Metrobus Service Adjustments
Effective Sunday, Aug. 27

Smaller buses will soon serve these routes.

Routes, schedules, frequencies and fares will not change. Bus models may vary.

Route 6

  • This route will be discontinued because of low ridership and duplication of other transit services.
  • Alternative service available:
    • On Flagler St and SW 1 St with Routes 11, 207/208 Little Havana Connection
    • On SW 8 St with Route 8
    • On SW/NW 37 Ave with Route 37
    • Along NE 1 St with Route 9
    • Routes 22, 27 and 249 Coconut Grove Circulator serve the Coconut Grove Metrorail Station.
    • The City of Miami’s free Little Havana Trolley also serves some of the same areas as Route 6.

Route 48

  • This route will be discontinued because of low ridership and duplication of other transit services.
  • Alternative service available:
    • On Brickell Ave with Route B
    • On Bayshore Dr with Routes 12 and 22
    • On Grand Ave with Route 249 Coconut Grove Circulator
    • On LeJeune Rd with Route 136
    • Metrorail between Brickell, Douglas Rd and University Metrorail stations.
    • The City of Miami’s Brickell and Coconut Grove Trolleys provide free service along some of the same area as Route 48.

Route 56

  • Service will be adjusted to operate approximately hourly all day.
    • Eastbound trips in the morning will leave SW 56 St / 152 Ave at 5:56 m., 6:38 a.m., 7:31 a.m. and 8:38 a.m. and then approximately hourly from 9:46 a.m. until 2:43 p.m., with the last trips leaving at 3:53, 4:53 and 5:53 p.m.
    • The first westbound trip will leave Nicklaus Children’s Hospital at 6:02 m. and then approximately hourly from 7:09 a.m. until the last trip at 7:16 p.m.

Route 62

  • The four weekday morning and four afternoon peak hour trips to Miami Beach will be discontinued.
  • Weekday trips will no longer short turn at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Metrorail station.
    • All weekday trips will operate between Hialeah Triangle Park (Palm Ave / 3 St) and Biscayne Blvd / 62 St.
  • Weekday service will operate every 30 minutes during the day and hourly in the evening.
    • Eastbound:
      • The first trip will leave Hialeah at 5:05 m. and then approximately every 30 minutes from 5:34 a.m. until 6:21 p.m.
      • Night service will be approximately hourly with the last trip leaving at 11:32 m.
    • Westbound:
      • Trips will leave Biscayne Blvd / 62 St every 30 minutes from 5:45 m. until 7:15 p.m.
      • Night service will be hourly with the last trip leaving at 11:15 m.
    • Saturday service after 7 m. will be adjusted from 30 minutes to every 40 minutes.
      • The last eastbound trip will leave E 9 St / 8 Ave at 11:16 m.
      • The last westbound trip will leave Biscayne Blvd at 11:59 m.
    • Sundays:
      • The first two morning round trips, eastbound at 5:36 m. and 6:16 a.m. and westbound at 5:49 a.m. and 6:19 a.m., will be discontinued.
      • The last round trip of the night will also be discontinued: eastbound at 12:15 m. and westbound at 11:44 p.m.
      • Evening service after 9 m. will be adjusted from 30 minutes to hourly with the last eastbound trip leaving E 9 St / 8 Ave at 11:15 p.m. and the last westbound trip leaving Biscayne Blvd at 10:44 p.m.

Route C

  • Will be shortened to operate on the beach from Mount Sinai to South Pointe Dr.  
    • The segment of the route from South Beach at Alton Rd / 5 St along the MacArthur Cswy to the Omni Terminal and to downtown Miami will be discontinued.  
    • Passengers can transfer on the Beach to Routes M, S and 120 to go to the Omni bus terminal and to downtown Miami.
  • Service hours will be adjusted to operate from 6 m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
  • Weekdays:   
    • Southbound service will leave Mount Sinai approximately every 30 minutes from 6:12 m. until 7:06 p.m. and then every 45 minutes with the last trip leaving at 10:06 p.m.  
    • Northbound service will leave Alton Rd / 1 St every 30 minutes from 6:11 m. until 7:41 p.m. and then every 45 minutes with the last trip leaving at 9:56 p.m.
  • Saturday service will be adjusted to operate approximately every 35 minutes.
    • Southbound leaving Mount Sinai from 5:55 m. until 10:12 p.m.
    • Northbound leaving Alton Rd / 1 St from 6:24 m. until 10:09 p.m.
  • Sunday service will be adjusted to operate approximately every 45 minutes.
    • Southbound leaving Mount Sinai from 5:51 m. until 9:40 p.m.
    • Northbound leaving Alton Rd / 1 St from 6:22 m. until 9:22 p.m.

Route G

  • Will be restructured.  
    • The segment of the route north of NW 125 St to Bunche Park and to the North Dade Health Center will be discontinued.  
      • Routes 17, 22 and 27 provide alternative service along segments of the discontinued portion of the route.
    • The route will be extended west to Miami Dade College (MDC) North Campus.
  • Daytime service will operate every 32 minutes on weekdays and every 35 minutes on weekends.  
  • Night service will be adjusted to operate every 60 minutes seven days a week starting at 7:45 m.
  • Weekdays: 
    • The first eastbound trip will leave MDC North at 5:20 m. The last trip will leave at 12:50 a.m.  
    • The first westbound trip from Harding Ave / 94 St in Miami Beach will leave at 5:30 m. and the last trip will leave at 12:45 a.m.
  • Saturdays: 
    • The first eastbound trip will leave MDC North at 6:10 m.; the last trip will leave at 11:43 p.m.  
    • The first westbound trip will leave Harding Ave / 94 St in Miami Beach at 6:25 m.; the last trip will leave at 11:45 p.m.
  • Sundays: 
    • The first eastbound trip will leave MDC North at 6:00 m.; the last trip will leave at 11:44 p.m.  
    • The first westbound trip will leave Harding Ave / 94 St in Miami Beach at 6:10 m. and the last trip will leave at 11:45 p.m.

Route H

  • Will be shortened to operate between the 163rd St Mall and Haulover Park. 
    • The portions of the route north to Skylake and on Miami Beach from Haulover Park to 69 St will be discontinued.  
    • Alternative service is available on Miami Beach with routes S and 120 Beach MAX. 
  • Will operate every 30 minutes from approximately 5 m. to midnight seven days a week.
  • The first southbound trip will leave the 167th St Bus Terminal at 5:13 m. (5:15 a.m. on Sunday) and the last trip will leave at 12:02 a.m. (12:04 a.m. on Sunday).  
  • The first northbound trip from Haulover Park will leave at 5:40 m. and the last trip at 12:30 a.m. seven days a week.

Route 115 / 117

Mid-North Beach Connection

  • Route 117 will be merged with Route 115 and all Route 117 designations will be removed.
  • Route 115 will operate in both directions on Alton Rd.
    • The portion of the route on LaGorce Dr, Pine Tree Dr and Sheridan Ave will be discontinued.
  • Service will be adjusted to operate every 50 minutes seven days a week.
  • Southbound:
    • On weekdays, trips will leave Collins Ave / 87 St starting at 6:30 m. with the last trip leaving at 8:40 p.m.
    • On weekends, trips will leave starting at 7:00 m. with the last trip leaving at 8:20 p.m.
  • Northbound:
    • On weekdays, trips will leave Lincoln Rd / Washington Ave starting at 7:16 m. with the last trip leaving at 8:36 p.m.
    • On weekends, trips will leave starting at 7:40 m. with the last trip leaving at 9:00 p.m.

Route 136

  • The route will be shortened to operate between Douglas Rd Metrorail station and SW 136 St / 92 Ave (The Falls). 
    • The portion from Dadeland South Station along SW 104 St, SW 87 Ave, SW 128 St, SW 136 St west of SW 92 Ave, SW 107 Ave and SW 117 Ave, and SW 120 St will be discontinued.  
    • There is no alternative service along most discontinued segments of the route.
  • The route will be straightened out and remain on SW 136 St between Old Cutler Rd and US 1.  
    • The portion of the route on SW 62 Ave and SW 72 Ave and Chapman Field Dr / SW 124 St will be discontinued.
  • The route will operate three southbound trips in the morning and three northbound trips in the afternoon.  
    • Morning trips will leave Douglas Rd Station at 7:00 m., 7:40 a.m. and 8:20 a.m.  
    • Afternoon trips will leave SW 89 Pl / 136 St at 3:00 m., 3:40 p.m. and 4:20 p.m.

Route 183

  • The route will be shortened to Miami Gardens Dr / NW 73 Ave.
    • The segment of the route on Miami Gardens Dr west to NW 87 Ave and the loop to NW 192 St will be discontinued.
    • Trips will no longer short-turn at NW 57 Ave; all trips will operate between Aventura Mall and the Park & Ride lot at Miami Gardens Dr / NW 73 Ave.
    • Westbound trips will end at NW 67 Ave; the Park & Ride lot at Miami Gardens Dr / NW 73 Ave will be served by eastbound trips.
  • Weekdays:
    • Service frequency will be adjusted to operate every 15 minutes during the day and 30 minutes at night.
    • Eastbound trips will leave NW 67 Ave starting at 5:00 m. with service approximately every 15 minutes until 6:16 p.m. and then approximately every 30 minutes until 10:26 p.m.
    • Westbound trips will leave Aventura Mall every 15 minutes from 5:00 m. until 7:30 p.m. and then every 30 minutes until 10:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays:
    • Eastbound trips will leave NW 67 Ave at 5:07 m., 6:01 a.m. and 6:41 a.m., then approximately every 20 minutes until 5:51 p.m.
    • Evening eastbound trips will operate approximately every 30 minutes from 5:51 m. until 9:31 p.m.
    • Westbound trips will leave Aventura Mall at 5:00 m., 6:00 a.m. and 6:45 a.m., then every 20 minutes from 7:20 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    • Evening westbound trips will operate approximately every 30 minutes from 7:30 m. until 10:00 p.m.
  • Sundays:
    • Eastbound trips will leave NW 67 Ave at 5:10 m. and 6:05 a.m. and then approximately every 30 minutes from 6:33 a.m. until 10:04 p.m.
    • Westbound trips will leave Aventura Mall at 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 m. and then every 30 minutes from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Route 252 Coral Reef MAX

  • Will be restructured on the western end.
    • Will operate eastbound on SW 152 St from SW 152 Ave.
    • The portion of the route west to SW 162 Ave (252A) and the portion along SW 160 St will be discontinued.
  • Schedules will be adjusted seven days a week.
  • Weekdays:
    • Eastbound trips will serve Country Walk up to seven minutes earlier in the morning before 7:00 m.
    • Eastbound trips after 7:00 m. will leave SW 152 Ave / 152 St from two to ten minutes later than currently scheduled. The last trip will leave at 7:45 p.m.
    • Westbound trips before 3 m. will leave Dadeland South Station from two minutes earlier to eight minutes later.
    • Westbound trips will leave every 20 minutes from 3:20 m. to 6:40 p.m. with the last trips leaving at 7:05 p.m., 7:40 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays:
    • Eastbound trips will leave from three minutes earlier to three minutes later than currently scheduled.
    • The first westbound trip will leave Dadeland South Station at 6:00 m. and then trips will leave at 50 minutes past the hour from 6:50 a.m. until the last trip at 6:50 p.m.
  • Sundays:
    • The first two trips serving Country Walk Dr will leave nine minutes later.
    • All remaining eastbound trips will leave up to two minutes later.
    • Westbound trips will leave Dadeland South Station as currently scheduled.
