Metrorail Schedules

Metrorail's regular schedule may vary up to 12 minutes during “single tracking,” when southbound and northbound trains alternate trips on the same track while maintenance is being conducted on the opposite track. To ensure you reach your destination on time, view Today's Schedule below.

If you are using the regular schedule to plan your transit trip a day or more ahead of time, use the single tracking information provided above. You also can check Transit Tracker at top left for real-time train departure times

Metrorail Service Update:

  • new Metrorail single-tracking schedule for the week and weekend: Metrorail performs track preventive maintenance and repair work after 8:30 p.m. weekdays and all day on weekends. In the areas where work is being done, northbound and southbound trains will alternate (single track) service on the same track while maintenance is being performed on the opposite track. 

    Thursday, December 18 and Friday, December 19, 2014:
    • Single tracking between Earlington Heights and Culmer station.
    • Green Line: Southbound trains from the Palmetto Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:39 pm until 12 am. Northbound trains from the Dadeland South Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:25 pm until 11:48 pm. The last departure will happen at 12:10 am.
    • Orange Line: Southbound trains from MIA will depart every 35 minutes from 9:21 pm until 12:17 am. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes from 9:22 pm until 11:45 pm
    Saturday, December 20 to Sunday, December 21, 2014:
    • Single tracking between Earlington Heights and Culmer station.
    • Green Line: The first two southbound trains from the Palmetto Station will depart at 5:17 am and 5:45 am, then every 35 minutes until 11:12 pm. The last train departs at 11:56 pm. The first four northbound trains will depart the Dadeland South station at 5:25 am, 6:00 am, 6:30 am and 7:10 am, then every 35 minutes until the last train at 12:05 am.
    • Orange Line: The first four southbound trains departing MIA will leave at 5:11 am, 5:34 am, 6:02 am and 6:34 am. After that, they will depart every 35 minutes until 11:29 pm, with the last train leaving at 12:13 am.  The first five northbound trains will leave Dadeland South at 5:05 am, 5:28 am, 6:03 am, 6:33 am and 7:13 am. After that, they will depart every 35 minutes until 11:33 pm, with the last train departing at 12:08 am.
    Monday, December 22 to Wednesday, December 24, 2014:
    • Single tracking between Earlington Heights and Culmer station.
    • Green Line: Southbound trains from the Palmetto Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:39 pm until 12 am. Northbound trains from the Dadeland South Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:25 pm until 11:48 pm. The last departure will happen at 12:10 am.
    • Orange Line: Southbound trains from MIA will depart every 35 minutes from 9:21 pm until 12:17 am. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes from 9:22 pm until 11:45 pm
    Thursday, December 25 - Christmas Day:
    • Trains will operate on a Sunday schedule
