Metrorail Schedules

Metrorail's regular schedule may vary up to 12 minutes during “single tracking,” when southbound and northbound trains alternate trips on the same track while maintenance is being conducted on the opposite track. To ensure you reach your destination on time, view Today's Schedule below.

If you are using the regular schedule to plan your transit trip a day or more ahead of time, use the single tracking information provided above. You also can check Transit Tracker at top left for real-time train departure times


Metrorail Service Update:

  • new Metrorail single-tracking schedule for the week and weekend: Metrorail performs track preventive maintenance and repair work after 8:30 p.m. weekdays and all day on weekends. In the areas where work is being done, northbound and southbound trains will alternate (single track) service on the same track while maintenance is being performed on the opposite track.
      Thursday, April 17, 2014:
      • Single tracking from Earlington Heights to Culmer stations
      • Green Line: Southbound trains from the Palmetto will depart every 35 minutes after 9:38 pm. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will operate every 35 minutes after 9:25 pm.
      • Orange Line: Southbound trains from MIA will depart every 35 minutes after 9:23 pm. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes after 9:22 pm.
      Friday, April 18, 2014:
      • Single tracking between Earlington Heights and Culmer stations
      • Green Line: Southbound trains from the Palmetto will depart every 35 minutes after 9:38 pm. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes after 9:25 pm
      • Orange Line: Southbound trains from MIA will depart every 35 minutes after 9:23 pm. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes after 9:22 pm
      Saturday, April 19 to Sunday, April 20, 2014:
      • Single tracking between Earlington Heights and Culmer stations
      • Trains will depart every 35 minutes from Dadeland South, MIA and Palmetto stations.
      Monday, April 21 to Wednesday, April 23, 2014:
      • Single tracking between Culmer and Brickell stations
      • Green Line: Southbound trains from the Palmetto will depart every 35 minutes from 8:56 pm to 11:57 pm (The 8:52 pm departure will leave 4 minutes later at 8:56 pm). Northbound trains from Dadeland South will operate every 35 minutes between 9:22 pm and 11:42 pm (The 9:30 pm departure will leave 8 minutes earlier at 9:22 pm)
      • Orange Line: Southbound trains from MIA will depart every 35 minutes between 9:15 pm and 11:33 pm (The 9:23 pm departure will leave 8 minutes earlier at 9:15 pm). Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes between 9:25 pm to 11:45 pm (The 9:15 pm departure will leave 10 minutes later at 9:25 pm)
      Thursday, April 24, 2014:
      • Orange and Green Line trains will depart on a regular weekday schedule.
