We are here for our neighbors and each other -- bus drivers, fire fighters, sanitation workers, police, librarians, parks and recreation personnel -- always ready to provide a helping hand. Now, more than ever, we are called to respond to the needs in our community -- and we encourage you to continue your support of United Way of Miami-Dade.

The Sky is the Limit!

Stroll along the white sandy beaches of the Caribbean; experience Canada's breathtaking architecture; take in a Broadway show in New York City!  Let American Airlines take you there!  The Public Works and Waste Management Department is raffling round trip tickets for 2 on American Airlines to any destination within the continental United States, Mexico, Canada, Barbados, Bahamas or the Caribbean.

Driving friendly competition & fundraising

Gather a golf foursome and take part in the 8th Annual United Way Golf Challenge on May 9 at the Tropical Park, Soccer-5 Facility, where a portion of the proceeds will benefit United Way. Please complete and submit the registration form and payment to your team captain. The fee is $30 per player, including a tshirt, if payment is received by April 25. After the deadline, the fee increases to $35.

Miami-Dade Transit sponsors Farmers Markets that will benefit United Way

From April through July 2014, transit riders and members of the community at large will have an opportunity to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and prepared foods at farmers markets located at the Civic Center and Government Center Metrorail stations.  The farmers markets will be open on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. view schedule for specific dates and times. The Market Company, which is coordinating the farmers markets, has voluntarily committed to donating a percentage of their proceeds from the bazaars to the United Way.
