Hurricane Irma

As we continue our recovery and cleanup efforts, please visit the Emergency website for the latest information on openings and closings in Miami-Dade County.

Landscape Irrigation Rebates

Miami-Dade County provides free landscape irrigation evaluations as part of its water conservation efforts to improve water use efficiency.

The evaluations (on properties that have an existing in ground irrigation system), are conducted to assess current and past.

Recommendation are provided to reduce water use and increase efficiency, which when implemented, are eligible for financial rebates.

Don't have an in-ground irrigation system? You can still find ways to create a water-efficient landscape.

Single-family home evaluations

Single family homeowners can get a free evaluation of their in-ground irrigation system as part of the Single Family Landscape Irrigation Project sponsored by the Miami-Dade County Water Use Efficiency Section. Evaluations will be provided at no cost to qualified homeowners by the Urban Conservation Unit of the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Program (FYN)/University of Florida Cooperative Extension Service.

A variety of approved irrigation retrofits are available, with residents eligible able to receive rebates of up to $500 per year.
