YouTube

Miami-Dade TV is solely responsible for the content published on the County’s main YouTube channel. These responsibilities entail ensuring that content

  • pertains to County services or programs meets County branding requirements
  • is of adequate production value and is in good taste
  • is Americans With Disability Act compliant (i.e. fully captioned)
  • is the intellectual property of Miami-Dade County, or is licensed by the copyright holder to be reused on the County YouTube channel
  • is the intellectual property of Miami-Dade County, or is licensed by the copyright holder to be reused on the County YouTube channel

Department Playlists
Miami-Dade TV has established playlists on the main YouTube channel for each department to showcase their particular programs and services. This approach ensures that audiences have seamless access to all County video content regardless of the department featured.

Video Submissions from Outside Sources
Miami-Dade TV will accept videos submitted from departments or other organizations that align with the County’s goal to keep residents informed of government services, and are for the benefit and enjoyment of residents and businesses. Such videos will be considered for posting on the County’s YouTube channel if they meet the following criteria:

  • No shorter than 10 seconds and no longer than 30 minutes
  • Produced in the following formats:
    • MOV
    • MP4 (MPEG4)
  • Includes a short title and brief description.
  • If not the intellectual property of Miami-Dade County, includes a written statement from the video’s copyright holder affirming that all materials contained in the video are used with legal permission and granting Miami-Dade TV the right to publish the video on the County’s YouTube page. No private promotion is permitted.

LinkedIn

Miami-Dade County has established a company page on LinkedIn to promote the organization’s commitment to being an employer of choice for professionals in a range of industries. This page is a reflection of our collective mission, vision and goals. Therefore, departments may not create LinkedIn pages to represent their departments alone.

Showcase Pages
Showcase pages are extensions of LinkedIn’s company page, and may be used to highlight the particular programs, services and business opportunities offered by specific departments. Departments requesting a showcase page must be able to demonstrate that they have the resources and content to make regular updates.

Job Postings
To insure that postings are consistently formatted, contain accurate information as well as the requisite legal language, only Human Resources staff may create job postings on the County’s LinkedIn page. Departmental personnel representatives should contact their designated recruitment specialist at the Human Resources Department.
Job postings should follow this format:

  • Include the job title, department and position number
  • Job description: 40-50 words
  • Responsibilities: Bulleted, 150 words
  • Desired skills: 40-50 words
  • About the company/department: 50 words

Embedding images and videos makes the page more engaging.
