Michael Mastrucci joined the office in 2012 and currently practices in the Taxation and Finance section, serving as counsel to the offices of the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser and Tax Collector. In addition, Michael defends civil rights cases in federal court on behalf of the County as well as officers of the Miami-Dade Police Department and the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department.
Prior to joining the office, Michael served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Federico A. Moreno, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida. Upon completing his clerkship, Michael joined the law firm of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he specialized in complex medical malpractice and products liability defense litigation. Michael received his undergraduate degree from the Univeristy of Notre Dame in 2007. He then attended the University of Miami School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2010. While in law school, Michael was an Editor of the University of Miami Law Review. Since 1991, Michael, a Miami native, has served as an active volunteer at the Grove Outreach Program in Miami, Florida.
