Ashlee A. Pouncy is a member of the Public Health Trust practice group, which handles all of the Trust's legal issues including, but not limited to, general counsel-type matters in the healthcare arena, board and committee involvement, Stark and Anti-Kickback issues, commercial and contracting matters, leases, medical staff issues, and guardianships.

Ashlee previously practiced in the Zoning, Land Use & Environmental Section of the County Attorney's Office where she initiated civil environmental enforcement actions seeking compliance with the County's environmental, fire, and building regulations.  Ashlee also initiated and defended foreclosure actions on behalf of Miami-Dade County.

Ashlee is a former Staff Attorney for former Florida Supreme Court Justice Peggy A. Quince, and previously practiced maritime law and handled construction and commercial cases as a litigation and appellate associate at a local law firm.  Ashlee has also practiced administrative law at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

An active member in the legal community, Ashlee served as the 2017-2018 President of the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter of the National Bar Association, and as Chair of The Florida Bar Law Related Education Committee.  She has also served on the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association's Community Service Committee, actively participating in the organization's mentoring initiative for girls at Lillie C. Evans Elementary in Miami, Florida.  Ashlee actively assisted with the creation and implementation of a Law Academy at Brownsville Middle School, and served as a Take Stock in Children Mentor at Miami Carol City Senior High School.  In 2017, Ashlee was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to the Southeast Division of the Mediator Qualifications and Discipline Review Board.
