Assistant County Attorney
Andrea de Ona joined the Miami-Dade County Attorney's Office in 2023 as a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section. Since graduating from the University of Miami School of Law in 2019, Andrea has devoted her legal practice exclusively to the representation of management in labor and employment matters.
Before joining the County Attorney's Office, Andrea practiced in the private sector, where she represented employers in employment litigation and advised management clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Since joining the County Attorney's Office, Andrea has successfully represented County departments in contract arbitrations, personnel grievances, and administrative hearings. She also regularly interacts with state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Labor and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). As part of the County's Employment Discrimination and Labor practice, Andrea litigates in both state and federal courts and provides day-to-day legal advice to County departments on labor relations, employee discipline, and workplace compliance.
