The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory & Economic Resource's Small Business Development works to increase the participation of small businesses on County contracts. The department coordinates and implements various small business programs to provide business opportunities and technical assistance to aid these firms in their growth and contribution to South Florida’s economy. Business Incentives

Our local economy relies largely on such economic development activities as tourism, international trade and commerce, and our ability to attract and continue to retain businesses that are compatible with and support our developing greening economy. Companies interested in relocating or expanding in Miami-Dade County have attractive tax incentive programs available to them through the State of Florida and Miami-Dade County.

Register Your Business

Registration is free of charge for Miami-Dade County businesses. By being active in our database, you will be eligible to participate in business and economic development programs and activities.

Small Business Certification

Here you will find information and forms required for participation in Miami-Dade County's Business Enterprise Certification programs. The small business certification unit processes all applications for certification and re-certification.

Starting a New Business

All businesses must have the proper registrations, licenses and or permits before they can legally open for business. Businesses are subject to municipal, county, state, and federal requirements.
