    Welcome to the District 13 Website!

    As Commissioner of District 13, I would like to welcome you to my website. Our District includes much of the City of Hialeah, the Town of Miami Lakes and some unincorporated areas such as Palm Springs North and Country Club of Miami. I hope you find these pages, along with the rest of the county website, useful and informative. And as always, I urge you to call my office with any questions, comments or concerns. I hope you take the time to look through Twenty Years of Service, which highlights my service and commitment to you the citizens of Miami-Dade County since 1993.

     The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners (BCC) today passed an ordinance making the current landscape irrigation restriction permanent in the County.

    Miami-Dade County receives more than $12 million in federal funding for "green" projects

    “Green” legislation that Commissioner Natacha Seijas sponsored almost two years ago has recently paved the way for Miami-Dade’s receipt of $12,523,700 in an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) from the federal government.

    Commissioner Seijas has been re-appointed Chair of Miami-Dade's International Trade Consortium

    Miami-Dade County Commission Chairman Dennis C. Moss has re-appointed Commissioner Natacha Seijas to serve a third two-year term as Chair of The Jay Malina International Trade Consortium (ITC) Board of Directors. Commissioner Seijas was originally appointed in December 2005.

    Barbershop gets a new look with help from the Mom & Pop Grant Program

    The 41st Street Barber Shop in Hialeah has been servicing clients at the same location for more than 40 years.  Now, the shop has a new look, thanks, in part, to the Miami-Dade County Mom & Pop Small Business Grant Program.
