Before you build or buy...

Find out if a property in Miami-Dade may have wetlands, protected forest resources, a history of contamination or flooding or is located in a wellfield protection area.

Water quality

Water connects everything. Beneath all of South Florida is the Biscayne Aquifer, our sole source of drinking water.
What we do on land affects our drinking water supply and the health of our coastal waters.

Help restore rare habitat

Join the Environmentally Endangered Lands Program and help restore precious habitat.

Community hours are available. Space is limited. Registration is required.

Anchors away

Use mooring buoys when fishing or diving and avoid dropping anchors onto our fragile coral reefs. Also learn how you can contribute to maintaining buoys and protecting reef locations.

Environment

Miami-Dade County Environmental Resources Management implements monitoring, education, restoration, regulatory and land management programs to protect water quality, drinking water supply, air quality and natural resources that are vital to the health and well-being of all Miami-Dade County residents and visitors and the ecosystem.
