The Grants Coordination Division is responsible for the administration and monitoring of Community-Based Organization (CBO) contracts including the Mom and Pop Business Grants Program; provides training and technical assistance to CBOs; and identifies grant funding opportunities to maximize revenue support to County departments and community organizations.
Additionally, the Division manages and administers grants under the federal Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009; administers the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistant Grant (JAG); identifies and promotes grant and revenue generating opportunities for County initiatives; and provides direct support to the CBO Advisory Board.
RFP 0415: Environmental Education CBO Funding
Miami-Dade County is soliciting proposals from non-profit 501(c)3 organizations, for the provision of environmental enhancement and education services for Miami-Dade County residents. The County anticipates awarding a contract not to exceed five months with the Contract Period starting May 1, 2015 through Sept. 30, 2015.
The deadline for submission of proposals is 4:00 P.M. (E.S.T.), Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the Miami-Dade County, Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, 111 N.W. 1st Street, 17th Floor, Suite 202, Miami, Florida 33128-1983.
Project PEACE Task Force
Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez has issued his appointments to the Project PEACE Advisory Task Force. Members include: Miami-Dade Police Department, Florida International University, and 40 other community stakeholders. Project PEACE (People Engaged and Advocating for Community Empowerment) is a 3-year, $1 million grant initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, FY 2014 Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program.
Brownfields Cleanup Grant Public Notice
Miami-Dade County’s Grants Coordination Division will apply for a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Cleanup Grant, with the Jessie Trice Community Health Center, Inc. to clean-up County-owned land in Miami Gardens.
