Infrastructure Maintenance

Miami-Dade County's Public Works and Waste Management Department is the proud caretaker of the County's infrastructure.

Causeways

The Causeways Division operates the toll plazas on both the Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeways. There are several prepaid toll plans available for regular commuters of the causeways.

Roads, Bridges and Canals

The Road, Bridge and Canal Maintenance Division maintains approximately 5,500 miles of dedicated public roads by performing many necessary services.

Bear Cut Bridge repairs

The Bear Cut Bridge – a portion of the Rickenbacker Causeway that links Key Biscayne and Miami – will be undergoing repairs required to rehabilitate the bridge. Traffic will remain open in both lanes.
