Goulds Community Redevelopment
An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the Goulds neighborhood and to create a better community to live, work and play.
The Goulds Community Redevelopment Area is located within Commission District 9 in Miami-Dade County.
The area is bounded on the North by Black Creek Canal C-1 from SW 126th Court to South Dixie Highway, then South Dixie Highway to SW 112th Avenue, then SW 112th Avenue to the Canal, then the Canal to the Florida Turnpike; on the South by SW 232nd Street; on the East by the Florida Turnpike, then SW 224th Terrace, then SW 224th Terrace to SW 112th Avenue, then SW 112th Avenue; and on the West by SW 127th Avenue until SW 224th Street, then SW 126th Avenue until SW 228th Street, then Old Dixie Highway.
On Dec. 2, 2015, Miami-Dade County staff along with the consultants, PMG Associates, held a public meeting to discuss the initial findings on the proposed Goulds CRA. The meeting served as a way for residents, property owners, business owners and interested members of the public to give their feedback on the preliminary report and to offer additional information and insight into the area.
