Home Repair Programs
The Single Family Home Rehabilitation Program inspects and repairs low income homes.
Housing Rehabilitation Program
This program provides residential rehabilitation for low- to moderate-income households within Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Areas (NRSAs).
Hurricane Shutter Program
Miami-Dade County residents can participate in the County's Hurricane Shutter Program.
Income Limits
Income limits are based on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines.
Low Income Energy Assistance
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides assistance to low-income individuals and families who are experiencing financial difficulty with paying their electric and gas utility bills.
Rental Assistance
Emergency Food and Shelter Assistance (EFSA) is utilized to assist individuals and families in need of emergency assistance with issues regarding payment of utility bills, rent and mortgage payments and also provides temporary shelter and food.
Senior Housing Assistance Repair Program (SHARP)
Through the Senior Housing Assistance Repair Program (SHARP) senior citizens may qualify for a forgivable interest-free home loan of up to $40,000 to make repairs on their homes which result in safer and more sanitary living conditions.
Single Family Home Rehabilitation
The objective of the Single Family Loan Rehabilitation Program is to provide oversight as Construction Manager for those applicants who have received a house rehabilitation loan through our partner, Public Housing and Community Development.
Solar Water Heater Program
The Solar Water Heater Program provides for the installation of solar water heating systems in low income households. One of the most cost-effective ways to include renewable technologies into a building is by incorporating solar hot water.
Weatherization
The program is designed to reduce energy consumption in the home. By reducing the energy bills of low-income families as opposed to offering aid, weatherization reduces dependency and liberates these funds for spending on more pressing family issues.
