Housing Rehabilitation Program
The purpose of the Housing Rehabilitation Program is to bring owner-occupied dwellings up to local and state building codes. This task can be extremely difficult for low-income homeowners to accomplish themselves.
The Housing Rehabilitation Program is designed to help income qualified homeowners fix problems in their homes such as roofing, plumbing, heating, electrical, etc. Repairs are prioritized to eliminate health and safety issues, correct code violations, make the home more energy-efficient, and undertake cosmetic improvements.
The program is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
How to qualify
Only owner-occupied single family homes with low to moderate household incomes qualify for this program. Funding assistance is limited to homes located within specific Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Areas (NRSAs).
How to apply
The application period is open only during open registration for housing programs; check with us for availability.
Individuals interested in this program should contact us directly at 786-469-4730, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Back to Top Page Last Edited: Wed Dec 19, 2012 12:03:37 PM
