The citizen participation process encourages residents to become involved in their respective Community Advisory Committees (CACs). The CAC members are elected by and represent the residents in their communities.
Community Service Centers
Community Service Centers provide a variety of social services to economically disadvantaged individuals and families interested in achieving self-sufficiency.
Foster Grandparent Program
The Foster Grandparent Program provides part-time volunteer opportunities for low-income persons ages 60 and older to render supportive services to at-risk and special needs children.
All psychology interns are assigned in the Psychological Services Division to a full-time, 2,000 hour (one year) placement in a major rotation with preschool children and a minor rotation with adults.
Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) acts as a clearinghouse to provide opportunities for persons 55 years of age and older to use their talents, skills and experiences to enrich the lives of others in meaningful ways.
The Senior Companion Program provides part-time volunteer opportunities for low income persons age 55 and older.
