Scope of Work: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work). The project scope consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, including all associated permits, and testing, and all other items necessary for the successful completion of the project in accordance with the construction documents and specifications included with the bid documents. Prospective bidders shall examine carefully the site conditions of the work and be satisfied as to all observable conditions. The scope entails the following: The replacement of 8,800 sq. ft. of existing asphalt roofing system for the Annex Building at the Data Processing and Communications Center. The Contractor assumes all responsibility for site verification of equipment for replacement, controls and other items required to successfully complete and meet the necessary building and safety codes. The Contractor shall become familiar with details of work in the field and shall advise the Owner of any discrepancy prior to performing tasks, including but not limited to existing and proposed quantities, building and area locations, etc. The Contractor shall thoroughly investigate and satisfy itself of the conditions affecting the work prior to construction start. Abbreviated Scope of Work: Demolish the existing roof membrane to the bare concrete slab and parapet walls. Demolish the existing equipment pad on the roof. Remove and save antennas and lightning protection to be reinstalled after re-roofing. Remove the existing roof radiation detector to be collected by the owner. Infill slab opening following structural drawings. Fill any cracks in the concrete slab or parapet with epoxy injection. Raise parapet all around the roof perimeter 18” leaving opening for scuppers and overflow as depicted on plans. Install antenna supports. Install Energy Guard Polyiso roof insulation to reach the slope indicated on plans assuring the flow of rainwater to the newly installed scuppers. Install Ever Guard TPO sheet membrane and metal copings as required. Install a new lightning protection system. Install antennas on the new supports. Bid price is to include all required dumpster for the removal and proper disposal of all work-related debris. The project dry-run submittal has been approved by Miami Dade County Building Department. The process number with Miami-Dade County is C2024091115. This project complies with LEED requirements for cool roof system under the Sustainable Buildings Program and is Energy Star Certified under ASTM D6878. Cool Roofs: Resolution R-54-18 requires utilization of "cool roofs" for all new construction, roofing maintenance, and re-roofing work where the surface material is replaced on County owned properties. Such roofing material shall be US EPA Energy Star Cool Roof Rating Council (ES-CRRC) Certified. The project is located at 8700 SW 56th Street, Miami FL 33173. The estimated Construction cost is $414,082.03. This estimate includes $11,887.52 estimated permit fees. The Bid shall consist of the Base Bid amount (Lump Sum) inclusive of all permit fees and excluding Contingency. NOTE: There are no Dedicated Allowances on this Project. There is a 10% Contingency on this Project.
