Cruise Safety & Security
Getting Through Security
Passengers should arrive at least two hours prior to departure. Check with your cruise line for the latest embarkation/debarkation information.
Security procedures, prohibitions and documentation requirements vary by cruise line or destination. Contact your cruise line for details about the specific requirements and restrictions for your itinerary. Information on travel documentation can also be found here on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection site.
Avoid Travel Scams
Vacations and travel are supposed to be fun. Unfortunately, dishonest travel merchants are out there looking for ways to cheat consumers out of their money. Before booking a trip, consumers are advised to research the travel business and take the necessary precautions.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regulates travel businesses and is responsible for protecting consumers from unethical operators.
