Fares and Transfers
- To ride Metrorail, you must use an EASY Card or EASY Ticket as the faregates do not accept cash.
- Metrobus fareboxes still accept cash, and you can pay using dollar bills, quarters, dimes, and nickels.
- Metromover is free for all riders. Enter any station through the entrance gate.

Discount fares are available for Medicare recipients, most people with disabilities, and local students in grades K-12 when using the EASY Card for discount-fare riders.

EASY Card
The EASY Card is a durable plastic reloadable fare card. It is part of Miami-Dade Transit's automated fare collection system. Fareboxes with "smart card" technology are installed on buses and fare gates at all Metrorail stations.
Purchase or reload an EASY Card online or search for an EASY Card sales outlet near you.
Regional Monthly Pass
The Regional Monthly Pass that will allow customers to ride seamlessly between MDT and Tri-Rail.
Transfer Fees
Rates on transfers within as well as outside the Miami-Dade Transit service area.
