Transportation Summit Overview

While we know that transportation can be described as simply as getting from point to point, it is also about why we need to get there. Transportation helps link and improve the livability of our communities and opens up economic and social opportunities and other benefits that enrich our lives. The completion of the Orange Line Metrorail extension to Miami International Airport (MIA) is an example of this and represents a milestone achievement for the PTP. Now we need to answer this question, "What's next and how do we get there?"

The 2015 Transportation Summit covered topics such as: additional major transportation investments including the Miami Beach Light Rail project, the Tri-Rail Coastal Link; and full Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects on major corridors, including the North Corridor and East-West Corridor.
