Robert Ruano
Robert Ruano is the President of Ecostrata Services based in Coral Gables. Since 2010, he has helped cities, nonprofits and developers build partnerships and secure more than $20 million in grants for infrastructure and service projects. Working with entities of all types, Ruano helps them realize their funding goals or helps them establish partnerships in the community.
Before starting his business, Ruano spent several years working for the City of Miami as Director of Grants and Sustainability, overseeing all grant applications and environmental initiatives.
Ruano believes that community service is crucial to being a good corporate citizen. As such, he volunteers on boards and volunteers at community events. Aside from serving as a Trust Member on the Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust, he currently also serves as a trustee for the Arbor Day Foundation and as an advisory board member of Nevada Plants. In addition, he is a past Chair of the Miami-Dade Planning Advisory Board and co-founder of Bike Walk Coral Gables.
Mr. Ruano represents Miami-Dade County District 6 on the Trust.
