Joe Curbelo

Joe Curbelo is an IT Director for the Miami Dolphins, where he has managed the infrastructure and support for the team and all stadium events including Super Bowl XLI and XLIV, the 2010 Pro Bowl and the 2009 and 2013 BCS Championships. Mr. Curbelo has also been an integral part of the technology planning and implementation for the organizations' construction projects including a 360,000 square foot addition to the stadium in 2007, followed by a half billion dollar project from 2015-17 and the construction of Dolphins' practice facility in Davie in 1993.

Mr. Curbelo is a cycling enthusiast and certified ride leader of the Everglades Bicycle Club. Past community involvement included roles as an adult leader of Boy Scout Troop 43 and four seasons as flag football coach for four seasons with the YMCA.

Mr. Curbelo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida in 1989 and continued his affiliation with his alma mater by serving on the Board of Directors for the Gator Club of Miami as Treasurer and Vice President of Athletics.

Mr. Curbelo was appointed to the Transportation Trust from Commission District 12. He has always had a high interest in transportation projects, and it is his objective to represent the community's interest in the development of Miami-Dade County's public transportation system.
