Alfred J. Holzman

Alfred J. HolzmanHolzman's first career was in the public sector. To prepare for this career path, he received a Master of Public Administration degree from New York University. Prior, Holzman was awarded a B.A. from Queens College.

Holzman worked for nine Eastern and Midwest cities, having served for over two decades as an administrator of economic/urban redevelopment programs, and central business district revitalization. With twenty-two years of high-level public sector experience, Holzman decided to make a major career change.

After gaining relevant experience, he established Summit Executive Search Consultants, Inc. here in Miami-Dade County in 1987. Operating a nationwide practice, concentration included the automotive industry, manufacturing, etc., serving world-class clients. Within these concentrations, Summit specialized in diversity, minority, and targeted searches in all specialties and industries. In later years, significant public sector searches were undertaken.

After another 22 years, the firm concluded its work in 2008 upon Holzman's retirement.

He uses his experience in the public and private sectors to evaluate matters that come before the Transportation Trust.

Mr. Holzman was appointed to the Trust to represent District 6, and was elected by Trust members to serve as the First Vice-Chair of the Transportation Trust.
