    Citizens' Independent Transportation Trust

    The Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust (CITT) is  the 15-member body created to oversee the People’s Transportation Plan funded with the half-percent sales surtax.

    The Office of the Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust (OCITT) provides staff support for the CITT and coordinates public outreach efforts to inform the community regarding the improvements that have been implemented using surtax funds.

    Take a look at our calendar for upcoming CITT meetings and events .     Year-Round Application
    The CITT Nominating Committee is accepting applications  from citizens who wish to serve as CITT volunteers.
     
    Metrorail MIC Connector New
    Expected to open in 2012, the AirportLink is a 2.4-mile extension of Metrorail from the Earlington Heights station to the Miami Intermodal Center. The People's Transportation Plan (PTP), which was approved by voters in 2002, provided the majority of the funding. The groundbreaking ceremony is set for 10 a.m. on May 1 at the site of the future Miami Central Station, Northwest 25th Street and 38th Court. Press Release
