Year-Round Application 
The CITT Nominating Committee is accepting applications from citizens who wish to serve as CITT volunteers.
Expected to open in 2012, the Metrorail MIC Connector is a 2.4-mile extension of Metrorail from the Earlington Heights station to the Miami Intermodal Center. The People's Transportation Plan (PTP), which was approved by voters in 2002, provided the majority of the funding. The groundbreaking ceremony is set for 10 a.m. on May 1 at the site of the future Miami Central Station, Northwest 25th Street and 38th Court. Press Release

In 2002 Miami-Dade voters added a half-penny to the sales tax to fund the People's Transportation Plan. Now a dedicated group of Miami-Dade citizens is working to keep transit development on track. Linda Zilber, Vice Chair of the Citizens' Independent Transportation Trust, visits County Connection to talk about the Trust and the important work it does.
