October 17, 2014: ASPCA Mega-Match-A-Thon Pet Adoption Event
Join Miami-Dade County Animal Services,The Humane Society of Greater Miami, The Cat Network and other local rescue groups for 24-hours of non-stop pet adoptions in a fun and festive fall themed atmosphere, beginning on October 17, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. and ending on October 18, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. at Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th St, Miami, FL 33155. Areas of Colonial Drive Park temporarily closed
Higher than normal concentrations of arsenic was found in the athletic fields. Park users can expect to see signage and fencing closing off contaminated areas to the public. For more information, please call 305-755-7834.
Fee-Free P.L.A.Y. Day at Deering Estate
Enjoy FREE admission to the Deering Estate at Cutler on September 20, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy complimentary admission as well as hands on science activities and historic house tours. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
