Programs

Active Adults Program

Miami-Dade County Parks' Active Adults 55+ program kicked-off in September 2013, as a local effort to encourage older adults to improve their health and well-being by consistently staying physically and mentally active.

After School & Out of School

Kids will enjoy fun, fully-supervised programming after school with activities focused on fitness, nutrition and wellness, and developing their appreciation of nature, science and the cultural arts.

Learn-to-Swim

Boys and girls are taught to swim by certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Various levels of courses are offered for children and adults, plus Parent & Tots (ages 2-5). For more information contact the pool of your interest.

Park Watch Program

Miami-Dade Parks is dedicated to ensuring that each of our patrons has an enjoyable as well as safe experience when visiting our parks and facilities and participating in our programs and special events.

Spring Camps

Spring Break camps are held annually during Miami-Dade Public Schools' spring break scheduled dates. Hours are from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., with early drop-off available at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 6 p.m.

Summer Camps

Summer Camps will be held June 13 - August 19, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., with early drop-off available at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 6 p.m.

Troops for Fitness Program

Over the next three years, Miami-Dade County will be one of 12 communities seeking to hire nearly 200 veterans to teach fitness and nutrition classes, and to help inspire residents to live healthier, active lifestyles through The Coca-Cola Troops for Fitness Program.

Volunteer Program

Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department encourages Miami-Dade residents to volunteer their time at the park of their choice by building a playground, beautifying parks, maintaining natural areas, playing basketball with children in an inclusive setting, coordinating activities for seniors programs, completing a scouting merit badge program, providing golf ranger/starter duties, cleaning and maintaining a park or fulfilling community service hours and more.
