We are asking customers to use public transit and STS services for essential trips only. Fares have been suspended for riders who depend on public transportation for essential trips. Transit services and trip frequencies have been adjusted. Some Metrobus express routes have been suspended. Customer Service and STS offices are closed until further notice. Please use our online services and mobile applications to stay connected.

Service Updates

  • COVID-19 Miami-Dade Transit services:

    Effective Sunday, March 22, 2020
    • All transit fares will be suspended.
    • Auto reload for monthly pass holders will be suspended.
    • Parking fees at Metrorail stations will be suspended.
    • Metrobus customers will be required to board through the vehicle's rear entrance. Accommodations for riders with disabilities will continue to be made. 
    • This new adjustment is a direct response to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and will remain in place until further notice. 

Metrorail

  • COVID-19 adjustment Metrorail service:
     
    Effective Saturday, April 4, 2020: 
    • Metrorail service hours will be 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
    Effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020: 
    • Passengers heading to the Miami International Airport station will need to transfer at Earlington Heights station to catch the Orange Line train.
    • Orange Line train available only from Earlington Heights both on weekdays and weekends. Frequency is every 30-minutes all day.
    • During the morning and afternoon peak hours, Metrorail Green Line trains on the mainline traveling between Dadeland South and Palmetto stations will run every 20-minutes.  
    • After 9 p.m., late night frequency will be trains every 30-minutes. 
    Effective Friday, March 20, 2020:
    • Both the Orange line and the Green line will continue to operate with a reduced schedule. 
    • This new adjustment is a direct response to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and will remain in place until further notice.
  • Douglas Road Metrorail station:
    • Due to construction next to the Douglas Road Metrorail station, the Metrobus and city trolley pick-up and drop-off areas have been moved to the west side of the station. 
    • Entrance to the station may be impacted. 
    • The surface parking lot located at the west side of the station will be relocated to the east side, between Douglas Road station & US-1.
    • See directional signage at the station for more information.
  • Northside Metrorail Station:

    Effective Monday, September 23, 2019, duration unknown:
    • Temporary bus stops have been established at the Kiss & Ride pick-up and drop-off lane.
    • Due to road work along the regular bus bay.

  • Traffic Detoured at Coconut Grove Station:

    Effective Monday, July 22, 2019, duration unknown:
    • Construction work is being done adjacent to the Coconut Grove Metrorail station parking lot along SW 29 Ave & 27 Terr.
    • All vehicular traffic is being rerouted to enter the parking lot via the entrance on SW 29 Ave & 27 Lane.
    • Patrons will have to exit the station via SW 27th Ave and 27th Terr.
    • The duration of this project is unknown. 

Metromover

  • COVID-19 adjustment Metromover service:

    Effective Saturday, April 4, 2020
    • Metromover service hours will be 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
    Effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020
    • Average frequency will be approximately 7-minutes per loop during morning and afternoon peak hours.
    Effective Friday, March 20, 2020
    • Metromover will continue to operate from 5 a.m. to midnight with a reduced frequency on weekdays.
    • Weekend service remains unchanged. 
    • This new adjustment is a direct response to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and will remain in place until further notice. 

Metrobus

  • new COVID-19 adjustment route 95 Express Golden Glades:

    Effective Friday, April 10, 2020:
    • This route will be suspended and no longer in service.
    • Riders can use route 77 from Golden Glades to Downtown Miami or transfer to Metrorail at Culmer Station.
    • This new service adjustment is a direct response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and will remain in place until further notice.
  • new COVID-19 adjustment Route 51 Flagler MAX:

    Effective Friday, April 10, 2020: 
    • This route will be converted to provide local service to supplement route 11.
    • Riders traveling between 107 Avenue and Downtown Miami, along Flagler Street, will be able to take either route 51 or 11. 

    Effective Friday, March 20, 2020:
    • Service about every 30-60 minutes throughout the entire day.
    • This new adjustment is a direct response to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and will remain in place until further notice.

  • new COVID-19 adjustment Route 39 Express:

    Effective Friday, April 10, 2020:
    • This route will be suspended and no longer in service until further notice.
    • Riders can use route 31 instead. 
    • This new service adjustment supersedes any previous COVID-19 related adjustment.

    Effective Friday, March 20, 2020:
    • Service about every hour during the peak periods only.
    • This new adjustment is a direct response to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and will remain in place until further notice.

  • new COVID-19 adjustment Route 277:

    Effective Friday, April 10, 2020:
