Metrorail Schedules

Metrorail's regular schedule may vary up to 12 minutes during “single tracking,” when southbound and northbound trains alternate trips on the same track while maintenance is being conducted on the opposite track. To ensure you reach your destination on time, view Today's Schedule below.

Metrorail Service Update:

  • new Single-Tracking Schedule: October 15 - 22:
    Track preventive maintenance and repair work is performed after 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends. In the areas where work is being done, northbound and southbound trains will alternate (single-track) service on the same track while maintenance is being performed on the opposite track.


    Friday, October 15: Single-tracking scheduled after 9 p.m.
    • Green Line trains will operate every 10 - 15 minutes until 8 p.m. 
    • Passengers heading to the Miami Airport station will need to transfer at the Earlington Heights station for the Orange Line train. Orange Line trains will run every 15 minutes all day.
    Saturday, October 16 - Sunday, October 17: Single-tracking scheduled after 9 p.m.
    • Green Line trains will operate every 30 minutes all day. 
    • Passengers heading to the Miami Airport station will need to transfer at the Earlington Heights station for the Orange Line train. Orange Line trains will run every 15 minutes all day.
    Monday, October 18 - Friday, October 22: Single-tracking scheduled after 9 p.m.
    • Green Line trains will operate every 10 - 15 minutes until 8 p.m. 
    • Passengers heading to the Miami Airport station will need to transfer at the Earlington Heights station for the Orange Line train. Orange Line trains will run every 15 minutes all day.

    NOTE: To ensure you get to your destination on time during single tracking, arrive at your train station a few minutes earlier, or track your train arrival with the GO Miami-Dade Transit App. You can also call Customer Services at 305-891-3131 to obtain more details on the single tracking schedule.
  • Improvements coming to Metrorail service:

    Effective Sunday, October 31, 2021:
    • Orange Line trains will resume operation between Dadeland South and Miami Airport station on Oct. 31.
    • Orange Line trains will depart the Dadeland South and Miami Airport stations every 10 minutes weekdays during peak hours and 15 minutes during non-peak hours.
    • Green Line trains will continue to operate every 10-minutes during peak and every 15-minutes off-peak on weekdays.
    • Weekday frequency for all Metrorail lines after 8:30 p.m. will be every 30 minutes.
    • Trains will operate every 30 minutes all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
    • Passengers heading to the airport from the Palmetto station, transfer at Earlington Heights to connect with the Orange Line train.
  • Coconut Grove Metrorail station:
    Effective Wednesday, April 28, 2021:
    • The surface parking lot at Coconut Grove Metrorail station will temporarily close.
    • Metrorail riders can park underneath the Metrorail tracks east of SW 27 Ave, accessible from SW 28 Ln.
  • Freedom Tower Station Closure:

    Effective Tuesday, July 21, 2020:
    • Freedom Tower Metromover station is closed.
    • Riders can board or exit Metromover at Park West, College North, or College/Bayside stations.
    • Closure is due to renovations to the station. 
    • Constructed expected to be completed by Summer 2022.
  • Douglas Road Metrorail station:

    Effective Monday, April 20, 2020: 

    Effective December 2019:
    • Due to construction next to the Douglas Road Metrorail station, the Metrobus and city trolley pick-up and drop-off areas have been moved to the west side of the station. 
    • Entrance to the station may be impacted. 
    • The surface parking lot located at the west side of the station will be relocated to the east side, between Douglas Road station & US-1.
    • See directional signage at the station for more information.
  • South Miami Metrorail station:

    Effective April 2020 through September 2020:
    • Additional construction is planned for the site.
    • Access to the parking garage will not be affected. 
    • Despite heavy equipment and construction activity, you can still enter and park at the South Miami Metrorail station garage. 
    • Please pardon our dust as we work to enhance your transit experience. 
  • Northside Metrorail Station:

    Effective Monday, September 23, 2019, duration unknown:
    • Temporary bus stops have been established at the Kiss & Ride pick-up and drop-off lane.
    • Due to road work along the regular bus bay. 
    The following routes will be affected:
    • 12
    • 21
    • 32
    • 79 Street MAX
    • L
  • Traffic Detoured at Coconut Grove Station:

    Effective Monday, July 22, 2019, duration unknown:
    • Construction work is being done adjacent to the Coconut Grove Metrorail station parking lot along SW 29 Ave & 27 Terr.
    • All vehicular traffic is being rerouted to enter the parking lot via the entrance on SW 29 Ave & 27 Lane.
    • Patrons will have to exit the station via SW 27th Ave and 27th Terr.
    • The duration of this project is unknown.
