Regular community meetings are held throughout the county to hear directly from the public how to best meet neighborhood needs. Meetings are held on a regular, often monthly, basis in most districts. Planning often begins a year in advance of the funding for new activities.
Through the formation of citizen organizations, residents are empowered to effectively speak directly on behalf of their interests and views within their immediate areas and within the broader community while working together to reach solutions to problems.

Public Housing Resident Councils
Resident councils actively participate through a working partnership with PHCD to advise and assist in all aspects of public housing operations.
Hope VI Meetings
The development team advises the former Scott/Carver residents, stakeholders, and other meeting attendees, of the progress being made on various aspects of the redevelopment effort. Participants provide their input to the development team on the various aspects of the project.
To facilitate citizen access to our performance assessment by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development we are posting the report online.
Consolidated Plan Community Workshops
Community development priorities for the next five years are established through the creation of a Consolidated Plan which is required by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The public is invited to participate in these community workshops to present your recommendations on how funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) should be used to improve our community.Back to Top Page Last Edited: Tue Jan 29, 2013 5:25:57 PM
