Celebrate Independence Day weekend

Celebrate our nation's independence Monday, July 4 with fireworks, barbecues and festivities. Read these tips to keep you and your family safe this holiday.
County services and facilities
- Miami-Dade County offices will be closed Monday, July 4
- Libraries will be closed July 4
- Miami-Dade Transit will operate on reduced service July 4
- Miami-Dade Solid Waste will not collect garbage and disposal facilities will be closed Monday, July 4. Recycling will be collected Monday as scheduled.
Things to do
- Enjoy reduced admission prices for Deering Estate to celebrate Independence Day. Pack a picnic and enjoy a day by the bay
- The City of Hialeah will host its Independence Day Celebration this year. Enjoy live music, drinks, food trucks and fireworks at Milander Park
- The City of Miami Lakes is also hosting their own 4th of July Celebration that will feature music, food trucks and a firework show
- To kick off Parks and Recreation Month, Miami-Dade Parks is hosting the 4th of July Kickoff Celebration. The event will be held at Tropical Park and have food, activities and more. Registration is required
- Take advantage of golf specials and squeeze in a round before watching fireworks. Book a tee time online or call 1-855-GOLF-305
- Parks and outdoor locations like Deering Estate, Zoo Miami or Fruit & Spice Park are open. Enjoy the summer by spending the day in one of our unique outdoor spaces
