The Marshall L. Davis Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center presents the 10th annual Sankofa Jazz Concert, an electrifying celebration of sound and soul on Sat., April 5th at 7 PM at the Miami Dade College Lehman Theater, 11380 NW 27 Avenue, Miami, for a night where tradition meets innovation in a dazzling display of jazz mastery.
This year’s Sankofa Concert stars the phenomenal Jazzmeia Horn—a three-time Grammy Award nominee and NAACP Image Award winner for Outstanding Jazz Album! Lauded by The New York Times as "among the most exciting young vocalists in jazz," Horn’s voice is a force of nature, blending the raw spirit of classic jazz with a fresh, contemporary groove. The acclaimed Haitian American trumpeter Jean Caze, composer of soul-stirring melodies with global influences, is also part of the program creating an unforgettable musical experience.

About the Marshall L. Davis Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center
Part of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center was founded in 1975 to serve as the nesting ground for emerging talent in the performing and visual arts in the heart of Liberty City. By providing quality instruction, inspiration, and encouragement to young people within the community, the Center has fulfilled its mission for more than 40 years, and everyday creates a means for youth to discover their artistic talents. The Center receives funding through the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners, and the State of Florida through the Florida Department of State, Florida Division of Arts and Culture.
