Miami-Dade County announces relaunch of Condominium Special Assessment Loan Program
Miami-Dade County Housing and Community Development (HCD) announces the relaunch of the Condominium Special Assessment Loan Program, with approximately $15 million in funding expected to support condominium owners facing the cost of required building repairs.
The program will officially reopen on June 1, 2026, with a new, fully digital application system designed to make the process more efficient, accessible, and user-friendly for residents. This transition from a paper-based system aligns with the County’s broader commitment to invest in technology and enhance service delivery through the Mayor’s WISE305 initiative.
“This program has been a lifeline for residents, helping thousands of condo owners remain safely in their homes while ensuring their buildings meet critical safety standards,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “By modernizing and strengthening the application process, we are making it easier for residents, especially older adults, to access this important resource with greater efficiency, transparency, and dignity. We are eager to continue expanding the program so even more condo owners can have the security and peace of mind they deserve.”
Program Impact and Enhancements:
To date, the Condominium Special Assessment Loan Program has provided over $55 million in assistance, helping residents address critical repairs and maintain compliance with building recertification requirements.
Building on this impact, the relaunch introduces several key enhancements:
- Modernized Application Process
Applications will be accepted online only through a new, easy-to-navigate platform that allows residents to apply, upload documents, and track their application status in one place.
- Improved Accessibility and Support
The application includes language support features to better serve diverse communities.
- Technical Assistance: 786-469-4100 or email us at: [email protected] (for login issues, document uploads, or platform navigation)
- Program Support: [email protected] (for eligibility, documentation, and application questions)
