Economic Development Incentives Report
Legislation enacted during the 2010 regular session requires local governments and economic development agencies, acting on behalf of local government, to report information on their budgets, activities/programs and results for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.
In addition to the Beacon Council's economic development activities, the County also allocated $1,415,704 in direct financial incentives and $5,761,562 in tax-based incentives for the same reporting period.
Reports from the County's economic development partner, The Miami-Dade Beacon Council, Inc., detail how funds from a surcharge on local Business License Taxes were spent and the outcome of Beacon Council economic development efforts.
