How do I search for liens recorded with the Clerk of the Court and Comptroller?

Liens or judgments recorded in Miami-Dade County from March 1, 1974 to present may be viewed using the Clerk of Courts County Recorder's website.

To satisfy a lien or judgment contact the party placing the lien.

When the lien is satisfied a release or satisfaction document will be provided.

Release or Satisfaction is then recorded with the Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, County Recorder Office.

While the original lien or judgment is NOT removed from the record, the satisfaction or release indicates that the lien/judgment has been paid.

If you are unable to locate the party placing the lien/judgment you may contact the Court Registry and place the amount of money due in the registry of the court.

The court will then issue a release/satisfaction that may be recorded with the County Recorder to release the lien/judgment.
