Colombia Earthquake Relief

A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, causing significant damage to communities across the regions. Homes, buildings, and critical infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed, leaving families displaced and need of food, clean water, medical care, shelter and essential supplies.

Search and rescue operations are underway as authorities assess the extent of the damage and continue to monitor for aftershocks. Relief needs are expected to evolve as more information becomes available.

Miami-Dade County is home to one of the largest and most vibrant Colombian communities in the United States. Many of our residents have family and loved ones in the areas affected by the earthquake. Miami-Dade County is coming together to support the people of Colombia and the families here at home who are worried about their loved ones.
  • Monetary donations remain one of the fastest and the most effective ways to support earthquake relief efforts. Financial contributions allow response organizations to purchase needed supplies locally, move aid quickly, and support recovery efforts as needs evolve.
