Liquor License

A completed Certificate of Use application for alcohol sales is needed for the following establishments. This assures that the business is allowed in the zoning district where it is located, and also verifies that the structure was built for the proposed type of business.

• Restaurant or cafeteria
• Convenience or package store
• Wholesale or distribution

Once the Certificate of Use has been processed, the owner can apply for a state liquor license with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

There are different types of liquor icenses to sell alcoholic beverages.

• To sell beer or wine, one can purchase a consumption-on-premise license or a package license
• To sell liquor, a quota license must be obtained
