May is Haitian Heritage Month

In honor of Haitian Heritage month in May, there will be art exhibits, author panels, entertainment, book fairs, storytelling and other activities for you to enjoy.

  The arts and culture exhibition is free and open to the public during the month of May

  Miami-Dade Public Library - Golden Glades Branch
  Enjoy an interactive storytime presented by our MDPLS Story Troupe, a special cultural poetry and paint workshop led by local artist Mecca "Grimo" Marcelin and much more! Materials for the workshop will be provided.

  City of Homestead - Haitian Heritage Celebration Event
  Attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds and flavors of Haiti, promising an evening filled with joy, community and cultural appreciation.

  Don’t miss the 26th Anniversary Haitian Compas Festival, one of the top 10 outdoor festivals in the United States, taking place at Bayfront Park in Miami.

  Haitian Folkloric Dance Class
  This class series provides an engaging opportunity to explore the vibrant world of Haitian folkloric dance. No prior dance experience is necessary. Classes are held every Saturday at 1 p.m., through June 22 at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex.

  Little Haiti Book Fair Festival
