Open the door to more with your library card

Discover what’s waiting for you at the library this September during Library Card Sign-up Month, an annual celebration highlighting the importance and value of having a library card.
A Miami-Dade Public Library System library card opens the door to a wide variety of materials, resources and services that can help save you money while you learn, explore, create and connect.
Whether you’re a student needing homework help, an adult learning a new language, a job seeker writing a résumé or a teen creating music, there’s something for everyone.
With your library card, you can:
- Borrow books, eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies, music and digital magazines, including Consumer Reports, Newsweek, HELLO!, Vogue and many more
- Read online newspapers, including the Miami Herald, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal
- Borrow Wi-Fi hotspots and laptops with built-in internet to stay connected at home and on the go
- Check out museum passes for free entry into local museums and cultural venues
- Get free homework help and tutoring in reading, math and science by certified teachers for Miami-Dade County students in grades K-12
- Continue your education through the Adult Learning Academy with language, test prep, citizenship and financial literacy courses
- Access small business resources, get job and career assistance and develop new skills through LinkedIn Learning
Get all this and so much more with your library card at no additional cost to you, made possible by your property taxes. It’s your key to endless possibilities.
Plus, anyone who signs up for their first library card or renews their existing card this September will be automatically entered into a drawing to win one of 125 weekend passes to the Miami Book Fair Street Fair in November (each pass admits two), courtesy of the Miami Book Fair.
Don’t miss out! Sign up today at any library location or apply for an eCard online.
