Miami-Dade County welcomes hundreds of attendees to 2022 Rail~Volution Conference

Government officials, transit industry leaders, business and community advocates will convene to address critical issues and advance solutions at the 2022 Rail~Volution national conference, which will take place at InterContinental Hotel in Downtown Miami from October 30 to November 2, 2022.

Miami-Dade County is the chair of the regional host committee and on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 8 a.m., Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will welcome attendees to the opening plenary, which will focus on climate resiliency. Several other speakers from South Florida and Miami-Dade County – including Department of Transit and Public Works (DTPW) Director and CEO Eulois Cleckley – will also be featured. This event, one of North America’s most important transit and community development conferences, will connect citizen activists, developers, nonprofit and business leaders, planners, local elected officials, community and housing advocates, transportation system operators, and government officials from around the United States, Canada, and beyond.

The four-day gathering includes more than 60 informative sessions on topics ranging from implementing bus rapid transit projects to building housing and other transit-oriented developments. Attendees will see Miami-Dade County and the South Florida region firsthand via mobile workshops, with opportunities to hear from local practitioners and leaders about details of the projects.
